Throwback Thursday, It's All in Your Head: Mental Tricks for Running

Hi, friends! Welcome to the latest edition of Throwback Thursday where we dig deep into the archives and talk about a running blog post that you may have missed the first time around. I also like to use this opportunity to share a throwback picture so we can all laugh together about how dorky I was in the 80s and 90s. Although I'm still dorky in the present time, it's not nice to laugh at me now, wait at least 20 years.

Sometimes running can almost be more of a mental challenge than a physical one. Sometimes our legs feel OK, our lungs feel OK, but our brains are screaming "nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" Can you relate? Here are a few tricks I use to get through those runs when my brain doesn't want to cooperate with my legs. I hope you'll click over and check it out.

And my throwback Thursday picture? This was when I worked at Chess King, circa 1993. I sold shiny suits, colored denim, and men's vests with the best of them. OK, you can stop laughing now.
