*Disclosure: These thoughts and opinions are my own. I was provided the Allied Medal Display free of charge for the purpose of a product review and giveaway, but I’m under no obligation to give it a positive review. If I hated it, I’d tell you.
I love heavy medal and no, I am not talking about the music. I love my running finishing medals. I am not going to say that I ran half marathons just for the
So, if you are like me, you ran a race...or ten. Then you are hooked. As soon as you finish one race, you are planning the next one out in your head. It is addicting. Before you know it, those medals start to pile up. Does this look familiar? Is all your hard work stashed away in a drawer? Typical Runner's Problem.
Early into my half marathon career, I thought I had the perfect solution. I had a couple of medals and some bibs, so I decided to make a shadow box to display my accomplishments. I even wrote a blog post about how I made it.

shadow box |
It was a great idea, but I wasn't thinking ahead. You can't really add more to the box without it looking overcrowded. Sure, I could build new boxes, but how many shadow boxes am I going to have? I'd eventually need a whole room to keep all my shadow boxes.
Then I discovered Allied Medal Displays. They make really cute medal displays to easily hold multiple medals, and they even make custom displays (which I think is the best part.)
I absolutely fell in love with my Running with Ollie display. Isn't this just the cutest thing?
They can make custom displays with your name, your mantra, or whatever you decide. It would make an amazing gift for a runner that you love. I can't imagine a runner who wouldn't want a custom display for their race medals.
If you are not into customizing, they also have so many fantastic designs to choose from, in all different sizes, even some pink powder coated ones (if you love pink, like me!) These are awesome. I couldn't be more thrilled with this solution to my problem. If you consider the cost of running races and earning medals, this is a relatively small investment to properly display your accomplishments. What good is a medal tucked away in a drawer, or hung on a door knob?
Now I can show off my medals properly...although because some of my medals are in the shadow box, my rack is looking a bit empty. This motivates me to get out there and earn some more medals!
The best news of all? The great people at Allied Medal Displays agreed to sponsor a giveaway! Thanks to them, you can enter to win a medal display for yourself!
Go to the Allied Medal Display website and let me know in the comments which one you would choose from their site if you are the winner (don't forget to fill out the Rafflecopter form to be officially entered.) Sorry, custom displays not eligible for the giveaway.
