That Time I Went To Chicago

Hi, friends! I spent Saint Paddy's Day in Chicago. There was plenty of green beer, a parade, and a green river in Chicago, but I was too busy working to partake in any of that! I was at the International Home and Housewares show.

I had a fantasy that I would pack my running shoes and then come home and write a blog on how to eat healthy and exercise while on the road. Well, that was a failure. First of all, I completely underestimated the number of consecutive hours I would spend on my feet. Eight hours a day on my feet for a cubicle dweller is a lot. The treadmill at the hotel was not even a option after a long day on my feet. Then there were the company dinners. Sigh. Back on track today.

Green pineapple juice! I swear!

Delicious crab salad at Park Grill, Chicago. Not pictured: Chowder, bread, wine, and calamari. lol

Oh baby, it's cold outside.

Curtis Stone was there. His accent is as cute as his face.

Bye bye Chicago.

Well, hello Dallas. Home Sweet Home.

  2. Chicago ROCKS - especially on St Patty's Day. I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to enjoy the Lakefront Trail though. It's such a pretty run.

    1. Yeah, I wish I had more time to explore more of the city. I did see people running downtown (even though it was really freezing) and I was jealous! :)
