JoeyBra Sport Review and Giveaway: Stuff Your Bra the Right Way

Disclosure: I was provided a JoeyBra Sport free of charge for the purpose of a blog review and giveaway. I was not compensated in any other way. All opinions are my own, and I am not obligated to give it a positive review. If I hated it, I'd tell you.

Let's face it. As women, we have been stuffing our bras most of our lives. If not with the extra padding we desired as young girls, then it was with our IDs in our clubbing days. As a runner, I've been known to lock my valuables in my car and stuff my car key in my bra when I hit the trails. When I am an old and grey Grandma, I'll probably keep my old lady pills in there. Since I still have a few years before I hit those old and grey years, I was thrilled for the opportunity to try the JoeyBra Sport, the sports bra with built in pockets on the side to hold my small valuables while I run. Brilliant!

I love the idea of putting my ID or my debit card in a zippered bra pocket when I go out for a run, but the JoeyBra also claims it holds the iPhone! When I first tried to put my phone in the pocket, I couldn't get it to fit, so I gave up. I slid my ID and my debit card in one pocket and my house key in the other and I was ready to go out for my test run. Then I mentioned to my running partner that I was surprised that I couldn't fit my iPhone in the pocket, she said, "Did you remove the case?" D'uh! I had a brunette moment (you know, like a blonde moment, but less offensive to my smart blonde friends). So, I removed the case, and my phone slid easily into the pocket. I was ready to run, iPhone in tow!

We went for a short run around the neighborhood. The JoeyBra is comfortable, structured, supportive, and cute, with black quick-drying fabric and pink contrast zippers. It felt good on my run, it had the same support and comfort that I would expect from my traditional sports bras. It was perfect. I ran about three miles during my run and the JoeyBra did its job and kept my things safe and secure, exactly as promised. Now I will never have to relive that time I tied my car key to my shoe laces on a run in the park and my shoe laces came untied. Yes, that really happened.

I did notice that because the phone is thick when it is in the side pocket of the bra, it might start to rub against your arm after a while during longer runs. It was no problem at all for my short run but I imagine for half-marathons or longer, a traditional running belt to hold your marathon belongings (phone, ID, gels, etc.) might be more appropriate.

The side zippers are reverse coil (the bumpy coil side of the zipper is on the inside) so that it is smooth and flat on the outside of the bra to minimize any friction against your skin. They thought of everything!

The JoeySport Bra is perfect for holding your ID, debit cards, and house key when you want to leave the house for a quick run. It is always smart to at least carry your ID with you, even if it is just a few miles around the neighborhood. I love that my iPhone fits in the pocket and I dont have to mess with a running belt or an awkward armband for short runs, walks with Ollie, or at the gym. Speaking of the gym, it is perfect to hold your locker key! It is a great sports bra and it doubled nicely as an everyday bra. I even wore it a few days under my work clothes. Now that I have a JoeyBra, I may never carry a purse again. :)

I highly recommend that you stuff your bra the right way and check out the JoeyBra Sport.

When companies ask me to try their products for a review, I am always thinking about what I can do for you! I asked JoeyBra if they would support (yes, I think I am funny) a reader giveaway and they agreed! 1. What a great idea! Now I won't be stuck when I go to run and find out my shorts don't have that convenient key pocket.

  5. The bra should have pockets on the boobs, so it can look like i have weird misshapen boobs! LOL!!! ;) Convo starter perhaps?

  6. I could use another sports bra! I don't often spend much on them though because I can honestly make a $15 Target sports bra work just fine. AKA flat chested. But I do like cute ones and especially love multi-functional ones!

  20. Strange question: With your phone, ID, keys in there can you see it through your shirt? The outline I mean? Ya know, do the girls look like they are hiding something.....

    1. Yes. I had a tighter fitting shirt on over my bra and you could definitely see the shape of the iPhone under my shirt, but not the key or the cards. It didn't bother me though. :)

  37. I shove things in my bra anyway when running - so a pocket would be better for me anyway!!! ;) And probably less gross.

  45. Ooh! This looks great! I could use a new bra!

  46. Definitely a great idea for quick runs! I wouldn't use it to hold a phone though- there have been a few articles about women running with their phone in their sports bra and then getting breast cancer. Not sure how correlated those things are, but definitely something to be mindful of!!

  47. uh--would i like a free sports bra with pocket? YES!!

  48. I really need a good sports bra! Finding one that fits perfectly is virtually impossible, lol! Kimberly S

  49. This is awesome! Being somewhat "full" in this department, a sports bra offering support without suffocation is vital. The fact that this has a pocket? Major score!

  53. I love the idea, I hate having to find places for my car key. And good fitting sports bras are hard to find.

  54. A good bra is as much a part of a good outfit as the outer garments and accessories are. Good support and comfort are equally important when choosing a bra.I would definitely recommend you
