When Dr. Jason Karp, the author of "Running a Marathon for Dummies," contacted me about his book, I knew it would be a perfect fit for my blog. While my blog name is 100% tongue-in-cheek, his book is an actual guide on running a marathon with the practical simplicity you come to expect from the "For Dummies" book series.
Do you get lost in the confusing running jargon? Need someone to break it down for you simply in one book? Do you want to learn more about training, nutrition, gear, and motivation? This book may be your answer. And it is not just for beginners, it is geared towards anyone wanting to successfully complete their first or fastest marathon.
Since I am always thinking about what I can do for you, I asked Dr. Jason if he would provide a free copy of his book so I could give one away to a lucky reader.
I think I'll crack mine open and start reading (and training). Maybe with the help of this book, 2013 will be the year that I finally complete a full marathon. I'll let you know how it goes.
